Millennia Elementary School is committed to the academic success of all students. We believe that all students can learn and consistently attend to their needs to keep them moving forward in order for them to achieve their highest potential. Our dedicated teachers plan, deliver, and assess instruction on the Florida State Standards utilizing the Orange County Public Schools suggested scope and sequence, literacy plan, and adopted curriculum from Wonders.

This plan ensures that all students are exposed to grade level, instructional level, and independent level text within informational and literary genres. Students are motivated through our Beanstack program that grants points (minutes) to individual students based on the books they read. Since our school is a digital pilot institution, all students utilize a device to access instructional content and engage in research based learning through projects that fulfill their curiosity and ignite their desire of new discoveries as they become responsible digital citizens. Communication, collaboration, and learning frame the educational environment of our literacy instruction.
